The recycling program at Washington and Lee University is operated by Facilities Management and is guided by the University's motto: non incautus futuri, not unmindful of the future. The Facilities Management Department, with the assistance of the Environmental Planning and Management Committee, has developed policies and programs to reduce the consumption of raw materials and capital to create a more sustainable campus. As we approach 20 years of recycling at W&L, the old adage remains- reduce, reuse and recycle. It is our responsibility to deal responsibly and honorably with our resources. |
